ADEKOYA EARNS PAC-12 HONORS

Sounders FC Academy product Seyi Adekoya didn’t waste any time in making an impression in his opening weekend at UCLA.  The Bruins forward came off the bench to score a goal in a 3-1 win over Wake Forest on Friday, then assisted a goal in a 1-0 win over North Carolina on Sunday to give UCLA a perfect start to the season despite opening with two tough opponents on the road.  For his efforts, Adekoya was named Pac-12 Player of the Week.

In addition to Adekoya, Sounders FC Academy product Darwin Jones, a senior at the University of Washington, was also up for Player of the Week after netting two goals in a season-opening win over Gonzaga.
