Vote for the Sounders FC 2 Goal of the Year

In the 49th minute of Sounders FC 2's inaugural match, Damion Lowe sent a long ball out of the backfield toward Andy Craven. At the time, Craven was a rookie, fresh off an impressive season with University of North Carolina. With a push and a shove to work himself into a position to score, Craven cemented himself in Sounders FC history.

Throughout the course of the season, 15 of Craven's teammates would combine to score a total of 45 goals for the Rave Green in the inaugural season, but of all those goals, which one rose to the top as the best of the season?

We turn to you to decide.

Pablo Rossi, who wowed fans with his pinpoint accuracy from the dead ball in preseason, is up with two of his goals from 2015. Could it be his free kick from the inaugural match against Sacramento Republic FC or his blast from 30 yards in the midst of S2's postseason push?

Andy Craven's season-opener is up for the best along with his no-look header against Oklahoma City, putting away Sam Garza's perfect cross.

Caribbean youngster Oalex Anderson also has a pair of goals to be considered, both after a strong individual effort even Obafemi Martins would be proud of. First, his 60-yard run on the counter to put S2 level against Timbers 2 at home got the crowd singing, then jaws would drop as his step-over skill to get past the defender before smashing it past the keeper became the game-winner for his first goal as a Sounder.

Two defenders made the short list for Goal of the Year as both Nick Miele and Giuliano Frano scored game-winners in similar fashion. Frano found the net against Timbers 2 after beautiful give-and-go play with Craven left the Canadian one-on-one with the  goalkeeper where he would simply tap it over to take the lead. Miele helped S2 win the season finale after timing his run with the senses of a seasoned striker to get on the end of Aaron Long's chipped pass to smash it past the Austin Aztex keeper for the go-ahead goal late in the match.

Last, but certainly not least, is Sam Garza's half-volley strike against Orange County Blues FC. Garza pounced on a bouncing ball outside the box following an S2 corner and one-timed his shot, which rocketed straight down off the crossbar, just behind the goal line to bring S2 level against the Blues.

With plenty to choose from after S2's long and successful first season in the USL, who will walk away from 2015 with the first-ever Sounders FC 2 Goal of the Year? Voting will remain open until Wednesday, October 7 and the winner will be announced the following day!
