Seattle Sounders jump to No. 7 in MLS Power Rankings amid nine-match unbeaten run

The Seattle Sounders keep on climbing. Fresh off a club-record sixth consecutive victory last weekend, the Sounders have jumped to No. 7 in the latest MLSSoccer.com Power Rankings, advancing two spots from last week.


Seattle took down the LA Galaxy 5-0 at CenturyLink Field to run their unbeaten streak to nine matches dating back to July 4.


The Sounders will visit the archrival Portland Timbers, the last team to beat Seattle, on Sunday at Providence Park (6:30 p.m. PT; FS1, YouTube TV, 950 KJR AM, El Rey 1360 AM).
