Forward Will Bruin undergoes successful surgery

Bruin 2019

SEATTLE, WASH. - Sounders FC today announced that forward Will Bruin underwent successful right knee surgery to repair an ACL tear suffered in training last month. The ACL reconstruction procedure was performed by Dr. Michael Morris on Tuesday, July 9 at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle. Bruin began rehabilitation immediately following the procedure.

Bruin had two goals and one assist in nine appearances (four starts) in 2019 prior to the injury. The nine-year MLS veteran joined Sounders FC prior to the 2017 season after six seasons with the Houston Dynamo, and has recorded 20 goals and eight assists in 69 regular-season matches for Seattle. Combined with his 50 goals scored in Houston, Bruin’s 70 career tallies rank sixth among active MLS players. He has also added eight goals in 19 career postseason appearances.
