Erin Vagley enters her seventh season with Sounders FC in 2020. As Senior Vice President of People & Culture, Vagley oversees Human Resources, Administration and Information Technology for the club. She leads HR strategy and is responsible for the development and implementation of all HR programs, including talent management, compensation, organizational design and HR infrastructure. Vagley is also a member of the executive team in matters related to business strategy and execution.
Previously, she spent time with the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA) as a Senior HR Generalist. Vagley currently serves as a member of the Board for the Seattle Sports Commission and Seattle Women in Sports & Events (WISE) and is on the Advisory Board of Seattle University’s Sports Business Leadership Program. She is also an attorney who, prior to working for NRECA, spent 10 years representing clients with the law firm Steptoe & Johnson LLP in Washington D.C. and New York. Born and raised in McLean, Virginia, she is a graduate of Duke University and the University of Virginia School of Law.
