Concacaf Champions Cup

Tournament Overview

The Concacaf Champions Cup (formerly the Champions League) is North America’s premier club competition, featuring top teams from MLS, Liga MX, and other regional leagues. The tournament crowns the best club in the region and grants qualifications to the prestigious FIFA Club World Cup. In 2022, the Sounders made history by becoming the first MLS club to win the tournament, an achievement we look to repeat in 2025.

Format

  • Tournament starts with 27 teams: 11 groups of two teams, five pre-seeded
  • Home-and-away aggregate scoring through the semifinals
  • The final is a single-match showdown

2026 Tournament Schedule

  • Round One: Sounders FC earned a bye for winning Leagues Cup in 2025
  • Round of 16:
    • Leg One: Sounders FC at Vancouver Whitecaps on March 12 (BC Place)
    • Leg Two: Sounders FC vs. Vancouver Whitecaps on March 18 (ONE Spokane Stadium)
  • Quarterfinals: April 7-16 (two legs)
  • Semifinals: April 28-May 7 (two legs)
  • Final: May 30

How to Get Tickets

The Round of 16 home leg will be held in Spokane on March 18 due to renovations at Lumen Field ahead of the FIFA World Cup. Tickets for that match are sold out. All additional matches will be a part of our Pay As We Play Program.

Leagues Cup

Tournament Overview

The Leagues Cup is a thrilling tournament that features all MLS and Liga MX teams competing in a month-long, World Cup-style competition. In 2025, Sounders FC made history by winning Leagues Cup in a 3-0 victory over Inter Miami, as the club became the first MLS team to win all five of the league’s annual trophies.

Format

  • 36 participating clubs - 18 MLS (9 clubs from each MLS conference) & 18 Liga MX clubs.
  • The 36 clubs are divided into two leagues of 18 teams, with MLS teams exclusively playing Liga MX opponents during league play.
  • Top four clubs from each league move on to QF Round.
  • The two finalists and the winner of the third-place match will all qualify for the 2026 CONCACAF Champions Cup.
