It is with bittersweet emotion that I write this letter announcing my departure from Seattle Sounders FC for an opportunity to join Inter Miami CF as its new Chief Soccer Officer and Sporting Director. I am looking forward to this next chapter in my career, and to have this chance to influence and play a role in the success of another team. With that said, Seattle is my home, and the decision to take this new step was made with great consideration. It is one of the toughest I have had to make.
To my family, friends and the entire Sounders FC community: I extend my heartfelt gratitude for the support, kindness and inspiration you have shown me over the last 13 years. It has been great winning with you and sharing in the amazing success we have accomplished together. I am humbled to have had the opportunity to be a part of the esteemed Sounders FC legacy, working alongside some of the most talented and creative minds in Major League Soccer. To have this experience in my hometown has been an unbelievable blessing.
A very special thank you to Adrian Hanauer for his trust, partnership, guidance and friendship, for which I will always be grateful. As I embark on this exciting new journey, I take with me many proud and fond memories, and I look forward to watching the continued success of Sounders FC, knowing Seattle is in good hands under the leadership of Garth Lagerwey and Brian Schmetzer.
I have been truly fortunate in this life with the great opportunities I have been afforded through soccer. Among those opportunities I count my time with Sounders FC to be some of the best. Thanks for everything, Seattle!
