Fans will celebrate the 2013 season, questions still come in for the Annual Business Meeting and two Sounders U-23 players are up for college soccer's biggest award.

With the Sounders FC Annual Business Meeting on Monday, the end-of-year festivities will just be getting started as the club's biggest supporters groups will both have their annual bashes to celebrate the past year.

First, the Emerald City Supporters will hold the 2013 Let’s Go Mental End of Season Party at Fred Wildlife Refuge in Seattle on December 14 from 7:30 pm-2 am.

At the 21-and-over party, ECS leadership will review the year and present awards, including the Jon Glyer Memorial ECS Player of the Year winner – an award that ECS Co-President Greg Mockos described as representative of the fighting spirit and passion more than statistics. Prior winners were Kasey Keller in 2009, Osvaldo Alonso in 2010, Mauro Rosales in 2011 and Michael Gspurning in 2012.

Additionally, as is customary at many ECS events, there is an element of charity as well as Royal Femmes and Armed Service Group will be collecting Toys for Tots at the event.

Tickets are the ECS event are available at www.WeAreECS.com.

For the All-Ages crowd, Gorilla FC will have its annual End of Year Party and fundraising event on December 19 at the Fisher Pavilion ice skating rink at the Seattle Center at 8 pm.

There will be music from Seattle artist Daniel G. Harmann, food from local food truck Off The Rez and drinks from Big Al’s Brewing and Dick’s Brewing, as well as Bellingham’s Masquerade Wine Company … and, of course, ice skating.

Gorilla FC will also present the 2013 GFC Big John Award during the party, previously won by Keller in 2011 and Gspurning in 2012.

Tickets for the Gorilla FC event are available at www.gorillafc.com.

BUSINESS MEETING STILL TAKING QUESTIONS

The Alliance Council continues to pour through the questions being submitted by Sounders FC Alliance Members in preparations for the Annual Business Meeting on Monday.

Joe Roth and Drew Carey will offer opening remarks at the meeting, along with business addresses from other members of the front office. General Manager Adrian Hanauer and President Peter McLoughlin will both provide updates on the team and organization, and there will also be an update from the Alliance Council. Then a representative from Council will relay questions to the panel of Roth, Hanauer, Carey and the rest of the front office.

Alliance Members can submit questions by clicking the link in e-mails sent to each member.

TWO U-23s NAMED HERMANN TROPHY SEMIFINALISTS

College soccer’s player of the year award is down to its 15 semifinalists and two players from the Sounders FC U-23s are among those on the list.

University of Washington defender Taylor Peay and Akron midfielder Aodhan Quinn are both up for 2013 MAC Hermann Trophy, which will be presented during a January banquet at the Missouri Athletic Club in St. Louis.

Peay has anchored the UW defense and kept the Huskies alive in the quarterfinals of the NCAA tournament, adding six goals on the season, including a hat trick in a 4-1 win over Santa Clara on September 3.

Quinn was the Mid-American Conference Player of the Year after posting seven goals and one assist, putting him second on the Zips in goals scored, including goals in three straight matches in the MAC Tournament and NCAA Tournament.
