2019 RECORDS AND STANDINGS: Sounders: 11-7-6 (39 points, 2nd West), RSL: 11-9-4 (37 points, 6th West)

FORM GUIDE (most recent first): Seattle: DLWLW, Salt Lake: WWDDW

ALL-TIME HISTORY: The Sounders are 10-11-4 all-time against RSL, including a 1-8-2 mark on the road.

PREVIOUS MEETING: Seattle defeated Real Salt Lake 1-0 at CenturyLink Field back on April 6, 2019. The Rave Green came flying out of the gates against their Western Conference rival, as Brad Smith, Víctor Rodríguez and Nicolás Lodeiro carved out several chances from the left-hand side. With firm control of the game, the Sounders broke the deadlock in the 18th minute, with Lodeiro scoring a fadeaway volley off a cross from Cristian Roldan. RSL managed to pose some danger in transition, but Stefan Frei and the defense held on for a clean sheet.

HOLY SHIPP: With two goals on Saturday in the 3-3 draw, Harry Shipp has five goals and two assists on the year, making this his most productive season since 2015, when he had three goals and eight assists.

RECORDS ARE MEANT TO BE BROKEN: The Sounders have not won an away match at Rio Tinto Stadium since 2011 and have not picked up a point since a scoreless draw in 2012.

PACEY WINGER: Jordan Morris has been in a rich vein of form since returning from the Gold Cup. With three goals and three assists in his last five matches, he now has seven goals and four assists on the campaign.

SHOE’S ON THE OTHER FOOT: Last time Seattle visited Rio Tinto Stadium, they were undone by their newest addition, Luis Silva. In the first half, Silva help create Corey Baird’s opening goal, and then he scored the second himself with a bit of skill in the final seconds of the match.

THANK YOU, HENRY: Sounders FC Homegrown player Henry Wingo was transferred to Molde FK on Monday after three seasons in MLS with his hometown club.

REVENGE GAME: The Sounders were swept by Salt Lake in 2018. After winning the home leg in April, Seattle has an opportunity to return the favor in 2019.

NEARING FULL HEALTH: Raúl Ruidíaz made his first start since July 21 on Saturday, while Rodríguez, who has two goals and three assists in 940 minutes this season, made the matchday roster for the first time since July 6.
