2026 MLS STANDINGS: Sounders: 11-12-10 (43 points, 10th West), LAFC: 12-10-11 (47 points, 6th West)

FORM GUIDE (all competitions, most recent first): Seattle: LLDDL, LAFC: LDDWD

PREVIOUS MEETING: The Sounders fell 1-0 in Los Angeles on May 24 behind an 86th-minute goal from Timothy Tillman. The contest was the league’s final matchday before taking an extended break for this summer’s FIFA World Cup.

ALL TO PLAY FOR: The Sounders need a result on Saturday plus a little help from other teams around the league in order to qualify for their 17th MLS Cup Playoffs appearance in 18 years. Seattle sits even on points with ninth-place Colorado for the final postseason spot, but the Rapids hold the Total Wins tiebreaker. You can check out the full clinching scenarios HERE.

FAN APPRECIATION MATCH: As is tradition for the final home match of the regular season, Sounders players will hand out carnations to fans after the final whistle. The 2026 Fan of the Year will lead Scarves Up and there will be a host of items at AMC for Season Ticket Members, including 400 beverage vouchers, 250 hot dog vouchers, and 30 vouchers for a customized Sounders jersey. Alliance Members will also receive a 25% discount for retail merch at all Pro Shop locations throughout the stadium.

ADDITIONAL SEATING: The club also announced on Wednesday that it is opening select 300-level sections at Lumen Field on Saturday. Find out more information about upper-bowl seating HERE.

200 CLUB: Sounders midfielder Albert Rusnák recorded his 200th appearance for the Rave Green last Saturday since joining from Real Salt Lake ahead of the 2022 season. The Slovakian has 15 assists this year, which is fourth in MLS and one behind the club’s single-season record set by himself (2024) and former captain Nicolás Lodeiro (2018).

2027 Sprint Season Schedule

The 2027 Sprint Season is short, fast and one of a kind, with seven home matches, zero warm-ups and every point means more. Explore the Schedule and join the Sprint, because a season like this only happens once.

NEW MAN IN CHARGE: LAFC announced Xaxi Tamarit as Interim Manager on Oct. 1 after parting ways with Marc Dos Santos in late September. The 44-year-old Spaniard Tamarit is 1-1-3 in five matches at the helm.

ELUSIVE AWAY WINS: LAFC enters Decision Day with just three wins away from BMO Stadium this year, tied for the second-fewest in MLS.

PLAYER TO WATCH: Son Heung-Min, F

While it’s been another banner year for Denis Bouanga with 18 goals, Son has played the role of provider. The generational talent and South Korea international captain has 15 assists in 2026, tied for fourth in the league. Somewhat surprisingly, however, has been his rare deficiency in front of goal. His -4.41 Goals-Expected Goals mark is the fourth-lowest of anyone in MLS.
