FORM GUIDE (all competitions, most recent first): Seattle: DWLDW, Dallas: WWDLL

PREVIOUS MEETING: The Sounders and FC Dallas played to a scoreless draw at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas, on April 13. Goalkeepers Stefan Frei and Maarten Paes each made two saves.

PRIDE MATCH: Seattle will host its annual Pride Match presented by Starbucks on Saturday. Fans will be treated to a plethora of community celebrations including LGBTQ+ and diverse-owned food vendors, players wearing Pride-themed pre-match tops and more. Learn more about the club’s Pride Month festivities HERE.

CRUCIAL HOMESTAND: Saturday marks the first of three consecutive home matches for the Sounders against teams currently below the playoff line. After Dallas, Seattle will welcome the Eastern Conference’s Chicago Fire and New England Revolution to Lumen Field on June 29 and July 6, respectively.

ROTHROCK DELIVERING: It’s been quite the week for Sounders midfielder Paul Rothrock. He scored his first goal of the year last weekend before starting the comeback midweek against Houston with his second goal in four days.

TEAM OF THE MATCHDAY: The Sounders and FC Dallas each had representation on the MLS Team of the Matchday for Wednesday’s contests. Sounders defender Jackson Ragen scored his first career MLS goal in a 2-2 come-from-behind draw at the Houston Dynamo, while Dallas forward Petar Musa recorded a hat trick and was named the MLS Player of the Matchday in a 5-3 win over Minnesota United. FC Dallas interim manager Peter Luccin was also named the Head Coach of the Matchday.

NEW MAN IN CHARGE: FC Dallas parted ways with manager Nico Estévez earlier this month after two-plus years at the helm. Luccin has won both of his games in charge with victories over St. Louis CITY SC and Minnesota United.

WINLESS ON THE ROAD: Dallas is one of only two teams in the league (St. Louis CITY SC) that hasn’t won a road match (0-6-3). Things won’t get easier this weekend, as FC Dallas hasn’t beaten the Sounders in Seattle since 2011.
