The Seattle Sounders are hosting Minnesota United on Monday in the second match of a Best-of-Three First Round series in the MLS Cup Playoffs. Here is everything you need to know:
WHEN AND WHERE: Kickoff is at 7:45 p.m. PT at Lumen Field (TICKETS).
WHERE TO WATCH: The match will be televised on FS1, FOX Deportes, TSN/RDS and available to watch on Apple TV+ & MLS Season Pass on Apple TV.
WHERE TO LISTEN: The match will air on iHeart App, SiriusXM FC 157, and in Spanish on El Rey 1360AM.
PLAYOFF FORMAT: Every First Round game will have a winner, and there are no ties and no aggregate scoring. If a match is tied at the end of regulation, no extra time will be played and the contest will head straight to penalty kicks to decide a winner. The first team to win two matches advances to the Conference Semifinals. From there, it is a single-elimination tournament with the higher seed hosting. If a match is tied at the end of regulation, then two 15-minute extra time periods will be played to decide a winner if the score remains tied.
MATCH ONE RESULT: The Sounders and Loons played to a scoreless draw last Monday at Allianz Field in St. Paul, Minn., before Minnesota won the ensuing penalty shootout 3-2.

Round One, Match 2 Tickets On Sale Now
Head to Lumen Field on Nov. 3 to watch the Sounders face Minnesota United in Match 2 of the Round One, best-of-three series of the 2025 Audi MLS Cup Playoffs!
WHAT’S AT STAKE: The Sounders need a win on Monday to keep their postseason alive. A Minnesota win, either in regulation or in a penalty shootout, would send the Loons to the Conference Semifinals.
FIRST ROUND SCHEDULE: Game Three, if necessary, will be played back in Minnesota on Saturday, Nov. 8 (Time TBD).
HOME DOMINANCE: Seattle will need to flex its home form on Monday to force a Game Three. The Sounders finished with just one loss in 17 MLS matches at Lumen Field in 2025, tying the Supporters’ Shield-winning Philadelphia Union for the fewest in the league. That one loss, however, came at the hands of Minnesota back in June.

2025 Audi MLS Cup Playoff Hub
The Sounders’ quest continues. After making history with every major trophy, Seattle is back for more. The 2025 MLS Cup Playoffs kick off October 27 as the Sounders face Minnesota United at Allianz Field. Head to the Playoff Hub to follow the action — tickets, schedules, watch parties, and team updates await.
RARE SHUTOUT: The Sounders were held off the score sheet last Monday for the first time in their last 10 MLS regular season and postseason matches. The previous time also came against Minnesota in St. Paul in August.
MOST MLS CUP PLAYOFF WINS SINCE 2009: Since the Sounders joined MLS in 2009, they have a remarkable 25 MLS Cup Playoff wins. They’re tied with the LA Galaxy for the most in that span, and a win on Monday would catapult them into sole possession of first.
VETERAN EXPERIENCE: The Sounders boast the two active players with the most MLS Cup Playoffs appearances in goalkeeper Stefan Frei (37) and midfielder Cristian Roldan (33), and Seattle will need to lean on their experience to send the series back to Minnesota.
