- Schmetzer makes two changes from the Sounders' away match against Sporting Kansas City with Nouhou replacing Reed Baker-Whiting and Léo Chú replacing Raúl Ruidíaz.
- Reed Baker-Whiting will not be available for tonight's match after receiving a red card last match against Sporting Kansas City.
- Tonight's match marks the first time the two sides meet this season. Seattle and Minnesota will face each other again in the Leagues Cup group stage on July 26 and for their second regular season match on Aug. 24.
