The Seattle Sounders are hosting the Portland Timbers on Saturday in their second and final meeting in the regular season. Here is everything you need to know:

PREVIOUS MEETING: The Sounders and Timbers played to a 1-1 draw at Providence Park in Portland on May 17. Albert Rusnák opened the scoring for Seattle in the 30th minute before Santiago Moreno equalized for the hosts in the 36th minute.
CASCADIA CLASH: The Sounders will host their other Cascadia rival after welcoming the Vancouver Whitecaps to Lumen Field last week. The Sounders and Timbers will battle for second place in the 2025 Cascadia Cup table after the ‘Caps clinched the trophy last Saturday.
TICKET PUNCHED: For the 16th time in 17 seasons, the Sounders booked their ticket to the MLS Cup Playoffs. Portland will look to lock up its spot this weekend in what is a massive six-pointer in the Western Conference as the clubs jockey for positioning.
HOME-FIELD ADVANTAGE: The Sounders have lost just once in 15 home MLS matches this year, tied for the fewest losses in the league with the Supporters’ Shield-leading Philadelphia Union.
RUSNÁK RETURNS IN BIG WAY: Rusnák played his first 90 minutes last week since suffering a hamstring injury in early August. The Designated Player attacking midfielder recorded a goal and an assist vs. Vancouver to become just the 13th overall player in MLS history to amass 70 goals and 70 assists.

INJURY CONCERNS: Both Alex Roldan and Yeimar were forced out early in the first half against Vancouver. Roldan's status is questionable heading into this weekend while Yeimar is expected to be out for four weeks.
GOAL-SCORING FRUSTRATION: The Timbers enter this weekend with just 41 goals scored in 32 matches, tied for the fourth-fewest in the West. Their Expected Goals mark of 43.36 is also the third-lowest in the entire league.
PLAYER TO WATCH: Kristoffer Velde, F
The Timbers spent around $5M this summer to acquire Velde from Greek giants Olympiacos, but so far the 26-year-old Norwegian Designated Player has yet to live up to the hype. He has two assists but is still searching for his first goal in just under 500 minutes.
