2026 MLS STANDINGS: Sounders: 7-1-3 (24 points, 3rd West), Galaxy: 4-5-4 (16 points, 11th West)

FORM GUIDE (all competitions, most recent first): Seattle: WDDWW, LA: LWDWL

PREVIOUS MEETING: The Sounders and Galaxy drew 2-2 at Lumen Field on Sept. 13, 2025. Jesús Ferreira and Danny Musovski gave Seattle a 2-0 lead before goals from Maya Yoshida and Miki Yamane helped LA split the points.

GLOBAL MOMENT: Saturday night marks the club's Celebrate the World's Game match, marking the last opportunity for fans to attend a Sounders match at Lumen Field before FIFA World Cup 2026 comes to Seattle. You can find a full list of matchday activations HERE.

UNBEATEN STREAK: Following their thrilling 3-2 win over the San Jose Earthquakes midweek, the Sounders have run their home unbeaten streak to 22 matches and MLS unbeaten run to nine.

GOALS BY COMMITTEE: It’s been a team effort for goalscoring so far this season. Four players (Paul Rothrock, Cristian Roldan, Albert Rusnák and Jesús Ferreira) all have five-plus goal contributions.

NOUHOU STARRING: Nouhou picked up his first assist of the MLS season on Wednesday, playing in a beautiful cross for Osaze De Rosario, who headed in the match-winner in the 89th minute. Nouhou, who earned an MLS Team of the Matchday nod for his contributions, leads all MLS fullbacks in the Interrupting category of American Soccer Analysis’ Goals Added metric and is eighth overall among fullbacks in Goals Added.

KLAUSS OUT: The Galaxy were dealt a blow after forward João Klauss was placed on the Injured List following foot surgery. The Brazilian was thriving in his first season in LA after moving from St. Louis CITY SC this past offseason, leading the Galaxy with five goals in just 550 minutes.

UNDERPERFORMING: LA is underperforming its Expected Goals by more than 5.5. That’s the sixth-worst mark in MLS and second-worst in the Western Conference.

SCORING STREAK: Despite the Expected Goals deficit, the Galaxy have scored in an MLS-leading 22 consecutive matches dating back to last season. The last time LA was shutout was, coincidentally, in a 4-0 home loss to the Sounders on Aug. 10, 2025.

PLAYER TO WATCH: Marco Reus, M

Even at 36, Reus has an innate skill set that’s on par with the best in the league. The former German international has a joint-team-leading eight goal contributions.
