Played collegiately at San Diego State, where he led the team in minutes as a freshman, starting all 10 matches for SDSU during the pandemic-shortened 2020 season. He started 26 of his 27 appearances for the Aztecs over the following two seasons, scoring three goals in 2022. He was named to Pac-12 Player of the Week, U.S. Coaches Player of the Week and Topdrawer Soccer National Team of the Week after scoring both goals in a 2-1 win over the University of Denver on September 11. 




Joined Sounders FC Academy in 2014 via the Sounders Discovery Program at age 12, logging 24 appearances (18 starts) at the Academy level from 2017-2020, with one goal during the 2017-2018 season. Katsaros was on the U-17 squad that captured a pair of Generation Adidas Cup titles in 2018 and 2019, as well as helped capture a win over Atlanta United in the 2018 U.S. Soccer Development Academy Final.
