WHO WE ARE
The Black Hills Militia is an ECS sub-group based in the Olympia area. Our group started off as a few people getting together to watch Sounders FC matches when they were on the road and has now grown into a group, that at the current time, is 200 members strong and counting. The majority of our members come from the Olympia area, but we have many members from Tacoma, Seattle, Shelton as well as a few out of state members.
Our purpose is to consolidate all the smaller groups of Sounders FC supporters in the Olympia and surrounding areas into a big coordinated group. In addition to finding existing Sounders FC supporters in the area, we also are actively seeking out new members to recruit into our group as well. By tapping into a pre-existing group of supporters as well as new members, it is our hope to become the largest sub-group under the ECS umbrella in Washington State. The Black Hills Militia welcomes anyone who wishes to come and enjoy Seattle Sounders FC matches in a fun, lively atmosphere and become a part of a group of people who want to have a good time and cheer on their beloved Sounders FC.
As a sub-group of ECS, members will be able to purchase ECS memberships at any of the Militia viewing parties throughout the season. These memberships will be similar to ECS in that you will be able to purchase a t-shirt with the Black Hills Militia logo, a scarf and an ECS membership card.
